This collection was based on an idea first explored on a table I designed for the venue of "Experimental Creations," an exhibition focusing on materials experimentation and creation at the newly completed TIERS GALLERY.
Because of the availability of wires that could be sourced at a modest cost, I came up with the idea of utilizing a wire tensegrity structure to hold the tabletop in place while using inexpensive mass-produced materials to replace some of the legs. The material ultimately chosen for this project was a plastic broomstick, considered cheap and unattractive.
