I designed the display for the opening of ARAKAWA GRIP's Omotesando showroom, "TIERS." Based on the concept of " Creation of what doesn't exist," we decided to showcase something not usually hung in public.
Therefore, the display was composed entirely of "living things." Roots of a mulberry were used to illustrate an image of a tree that is firmly rooted to the ground and will grow more vibrant in the future. Then, flowers were arranged to complete the piece with color. Despite its considerable degree of instability, the work was carefully designed to take advantage of the ARAKAWA GRIP features that allow it to maintain a beautiful balance no matter which direction it is seen.
