OLED Chandelier – Hiroshi Nagane
Hotel Lobby in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo photo by Hiroshi Nagane

This chandelier was designed for the lobby of a hotel in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo. Using square-shaped light shades illuminated by numerous OLED panels, the chandelier generates a Japanese-style glamour equivalent to andon lanterns. The indirect lighting was installed to enhance the surrounding walls, and the floating chandeliers were suspended by wires and ARAKAWA GRIP that firmly held them in place while regulating their height. Naturally, the standards for the components installed above our heads must be determined by safety and reliability. ARAKAWA GRIP: AK-18 / BS-20RP.
