A curtain-like object in the form of two layers of wooden balls; a layer of 399 wooden balls 40 mm in diameter and a layer of 500 wooden balls 50 mm in diameter. In this experimental work, the project team started by creating a three-dimensional mesh dot inspired by the various effects produced by color halftones in printing technology and then tried to express it as an element that composes a space.
The spacing between the wooden balls connected by wires is adjusted precisely by the ARAKAWA GRIP installed in the balls. The different diameters, quantities, spacing, and colors of the wooden balls on each layer create a moiré phenomenon when viewed while moving, giving the impression of movement even though there is no motive force.
