While bonsai that express nature and artificially manufactured wire grips normally do not necessarily intertwine, I still remember the first time I encountered ARAKAWA GRIP and thought of a fresh approach to showcasing bonsai at once. Traditionally, bonsai are displayed in a tokonoma (alcove) or sturdy table. However, if the bonsai were to float in the air, it would be an extraordinary display. I could express the sense of wonder of having a bonsai resting on a speck of thick stone dirt in the comfortable state of flotation. The ARAKAWA GRIP, which can support a bonsai weighing more than 30kg, was indispensable to accomplish this illusion. It allowed us to hang a bonsai work in the air, which had been impossible without any worries. Now that we have this tool, we can further expand the scope of our expression. The possibilities for bonsai and the ARAKAWA GRIP are endless.
