Sky Forming Apparatus is a series of works that create colors of light in the sky. The exhibition was held at TOKYO MIDTOWN and AO Gallery by AGC Inc. in 2022. The glass used in this work is a distinct material based on the principle of Rayleigh scattering, which causes the sky to turn blue or red. By reflecting the beautiful skylight transitions in the glass onto the mirror surface of the parabola, the phenomenon was transformed into a space that could be physically confronted. In order to create an environment in which the viewer can immerse himself in the beauty of the light phenomenon, it was necessary to eliminate the reflection of the parts in the parabola as much as possible, and the glass disks were suspended with the ARAKAWA GRIP wire system.
Although the wire is a crucial element of the structure that plays a role in the safety of the work, its presence in the atmosphere without getting in a way of the artwork.
