This project was initiated in 2020 through the support of ARAKAWA GRIP in association with designers, including Takanori Urata, while COVID-19 severely impacted Japan. Each exhibition has a theme based on the concept “to be aware of and prepared for the risks around us while living each day comfortably.” One of the hallmarks of this project has been the spatial composition using ARAKAWA GRIP. This highly flexible and easily detachable metal fitting has created a highly versatile space with a distinctive ambiance each time. Hajime and Makoto Arakawa have not only offered us technical advice; they have also given us stimulating insights into the future of this project.
